JOURNEY PLANNER AND TICKET PURCHASES
There are many, many online websites and mobile apps where you can plan a rail journey and pre-pay for a ticket. Northern’s is here.
Why not consider downloading EasyFundraising, as your ticket purchase via them (along with other online shopping you do) may generate much-needed funds for local Groups in Goostrey?! Some local organisations you can nominate to donate to include Goostrey Community Shed, Goostrey Community Primary School, 1st Goostrey Scouts and Goostrey Pre-School.

TICKETS, RAILCARDS AND PASSES
DAY TICKETS
Buy online from numerous sites. Alternatively, turn up on the day and buy via the machine in the Car Park of Goostrey Station.
If the machine is not working or you have only cash, select a “PROMISE TO PAY” ticket and pay onboard with cash or as soon as you can upon arrival at your destination. N.B. Travelling without a valid ticket is now subject to a £100 fine and the cost of your journey.
Duo Duo tickets are a great way to get out and about by train for the day whilst saving a little cash. There's no need for a Railcard either, simply buy your ticket and travel together to save 25%.
Explorer 55 Ticket A one-off £18.40 for those aged over 55, allowing unlimited day train travel on Northern Rail’s services only in their Central and West regions.
RAILCARDS
These Railcards, normally costing £30 up-front, give you at least 30% off train journeys (Terms and Conditions apply, as always!). You buy your ticket with your Railcard and, after a few travels, you’ve paid back the cost of it. Following that, you’re making big savings!

OTHER
Group Travel For 10+ travelling together as a group.
Day Ranger tickets allow you to explore all over the North by train.
Rover tickets allow you to travel four out of eight consecutive days within your chosen area, or on seven consecutive days covering the North East or North West.
INTERRAIL
An Interrail Pass offers unlimited train travel across Europe – 33 countries, and over 40,000 destinations to be precise! Choose between a Global Pass for travel across all participating countries and a One Country Pass for unlimited travel in a nominated country. Brexit has not affected the availability of this Pass for UK Citizens.
